Summer Camps for Children and Young Teens - 2008
A simply wonderful (and delicious) spot for your children
to learn about and practice culinary and pastry in a commodious
kitchen space with others of their age. Courses run from Monday
through Thursday. Register by calling 301-718-5111, emailing us

or simply stopping by for a chat (classes are filling quick so calling
is the best option). We supply the aprons!
June 16 - 19, 2008 Round the World
Summer time travel right from our kitchen at JUST CAKES! Campers
will come around with us making international menus and eating it
too.
Morning Class - 9:30 am to 12:30 pm Ages 7-11
Afternoon Class - 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm Young Teens
June 23 - 26, 2008 Just Desserts I
Working with our pastry chefs, your children will learn about
and prepare a wide variety of desserts AND presentations. Projects
will include gingerbread beach cottages, cake baking, cake decoration
and a host of other sweet treats. Lunch will be provided and plenty
of sweet treats to share at home.

June 30 - July 3, 2008 American Classics
We identify those traditional palate pleasures like Bar-B-Cued
Chicken and Blueberry Tarts---our warm and fuzzy culinary offering
includes pop tarts made from scratch. Each class enjoys their meal
with desserts to share at home.

July 7-10, 2008 Mangi L'Italiano!
We learn to cook fine Italian cuisine from ravioli to cannolis.
Classes will prepare their own lunches or dinners and will have
desserts to take home with them.

July 14 -17, 2008 *Just Desserts II
Young chefs join our 'seasoned' pastry chefs for a more in-depth
look at desserts and their presentation. They will experiment with
mousses, cream puffs, cake decorating, and other more intricate
favorites. Lunch will be provided.

July 21-24 2008 All About Breakfast
Come prepared to make and enjoy a breakfast buffet each day.
We will be making donuts, egg dishes, yeast breads, pound cakes
and sooo much more! Come hungry.

July 28-31, 2008 All About Asia
Travel through the culinary delights of Japan, China, Korea,
and India. Each day brings different savory tastes and desserts.
They will enjoy their lunches or dinners here with desserts to go.

August 4-7 2008 Traveling through Paris
Be your own French Chefs! You will create crepes with fillings,
Profiteroles and pasta that Italy that does not own.

August 11 -14 2008 …We go East!!
Some spicy scintillating surprises with this menu for entrées

Cake Decorating Classes for Children and Young Teens
Cake decorating classes for children and young teens, each child
makes a six-inch cake to trim and then take home. Classes vary
according to age and ability and can range from learning how to
pipe icing and use stencils to decorating with edible flowers.
